Some work activities need clear written instructions to help control the hazards to health and safety presented by the activity, and ensure that the workers involved know how to carry out their work safely.
Written instructions act as a control measure that reduces the risks associated with the activity, and should therefore be recorded on the risk assessment for the activity. They are not a substitute however for eliminating or controlling hazards by other more effective means such as guarding of equipment.
In this section we can include our written work instructions and working practises that we have identified as being necessary to control risks to our health and safety.
Our Croner Consulting (formerly IRPC) Consultant can provide safety specialist input to help us develop these instructions and systems of work.
